Q. Why choose an Elixir Luxury Yoga Retreat?
Easy, it's the retreat of your dreams. Sheelagh & her team are the heart of everything to ensure high standards & relaxed atmosphere are maintained. You will experience yoga, meditation & great food in Tuscany, alongside like-minded people, & find complete relaxation in our boutique resort. Elixir Resorts & Luxury Yoga Retreats has been put together with a vision to fully deliver your expectations of a dream-holiday & retreat combined.
This is not a hotel setting, you will be the sole guests in comfort & exclusivity, just like home.
Q. What’s the itinerary?
Each retreat is slightly different, yet the essentials of yoga, relaxation, food & fun are always in there. We have a dedicated HOT yoga room (40 degrees & 40% humidity), a Wellness Spa by Jacuzzi, & Salt infinity pool. Great food, all inclusive beverages, & a day trip to a nearby town…be surprised, it could be Siena, Florence, Rome, Perugia, Assisi, Montepulciano to name a few! Ad-hoc activities include hiking, biking, relaxing in a secluded spot, maybe an excursion to nearby natural thermal waters & more. You are guaranteed delicious food - we are not a restaurant, so no menu, just local produce to feed your soul & your belly. (see below).
Q. What’s the cost?
We offer 2 rooms in the main 17th century Libertine Villa, & 3 more spacious suites in the annex, plus one budget room in the owner’s apartment. Please contact us directly for the budget option & availability! Rates range from €2500 - €5200 per person depending on your choice of room/occupancy. Please check the retreat pages for current rates, early bird specials etc.
Q. Is the retreat all-inclusive?
TOTALLY: Yoga, train station transfers (Chiusi/Chianciano Terme), cuisine, spirits, wine, beer (local), excursions. The only extras are merchandise from our small boutique.
Q. Where is the villa, which airport do I fly in to, & how do I get to you?
L'isola che non c'è is located in Tuscany, strategically close to the historical centre of Chiusi (2,3km). Fly to Rome, Perugia, Florence or Pisa then take a train to Chiusi Scalo & we’ll collect you. The villa is 8 minutes from the train station. Or, fly & take a rental car. Once you have booked, send us your travel details (we can arrange an airport pick up at extra cost email contact@elixir-resorts.com). If you are in Europe maybe you would prefer to take a road trip. The Villa boasts breath-taking panoramic views of the Southern Valdichiana countryside & the natural park of Mount Cetona. Montepulciano, Pienza, Cetona, Sarteano, Assisi, plus, the thermal centres of Chianciano & San Casciano dei Bagni are all very accessible.
Q. I have an allergy or a specific dietary requirement. How does that work?
We aim to have everything sourced locally or home grown on the estate. Therefore, please communicate any food requirements before the retreat so we can be prepared & confident to offer you the best we can. Wherever possible we will cater for all needs.
Q. I’m not a yogi, can I come?
Yes, why not immerse yourself in ‘a week in the life of a yogi.’ Yoga is life, & we want you to enjoy your time-out from reality to the fullest. Here you can learn to slow down, stretch, feel good, enjoy the spa, & sink into the perfect relaxing holiday. Do as much or as little yoga as you like. Learn to be kind to yourself. That's yoga too.
Q. I’m a yoga teacher. Should I do this?
Absolutely. As well as practicing yoga together, you will always find someone to chat yoga with. Likeminded people doing what they love most is the ideal harmony. Deepen your knowledge & take advantage of the heated yoga room & plenty of outdoor options to drop to your mat. You can immerse yourself, learn & share from each other, all in a relaxed light-hearted atmosphere.
Q. Can I come with friends?
Yes, please do. We have a quadruple room in our annex as well as smaller rooms for sharing. Email us contact@elixir-resorts.com for special arrangements & booking options.

Q. Is the weather good?
Outstanding! L'isola che non c'è sits on the top of a hill (340m) with far reaching views across the world-renowned Tuscan rolling countryside. Being at this height means we have beautiful fresh air & an abundance of beautiful Tuscan sunrises and sunsets. Plenty of photo opportunities for you social media junkies!
Q. Do you have mats/towels/props?
Yes.
Q. Laundry?
We have a laundry room at your disposal. Bed linen will be changed twice during your retreat.
Q. How do I pay?
Please pay here on the website to reserve your space. We will contact you within 24 hours to introduce & share travel & other information. Bookings cannot be held without payment. You can contact us to pay via bank transfer.
