Siena

Possibly Italy’s most romantic city, this historic centre has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Siena is well known for everything from cuisine to art, to its unique medieval cityscape. Aptly described as a “giant, open-air museum celebrating the Gothic”. Siena’s fairytale central piazza, Il Campo, hosts the world-famous Palio, a horse race held twice every summer. Our personal favourite Tuscan city.

Montepulciano

A must for lovers of the grape! Montepulciano is a Medieval & Renaissance hilltop town surrounded by vineyards, & known for its 'vino nobile.' The Torre di Pulcinella, a clock tower topped by a figure of Pulcinella, a commedia dell’arte character. On the Piazza Grande is the 14th-century Palazzo Comunale, with a tower offering views of the surrounding countryside.

However, you do not need to be religious to appreciate it's awe-inspiring ancient buildings & quaint narrow streets. A UNESCO Heritage site, it will stir emotions just by breathing in the aura. Plenty to see from the religious sites to the famous Cruciani glass art gallery, fairytale scenery, spectacular architecture & rich culture.
